'our shy volunteer'The Wii Bowling was a hit, as it is every year. Our second place winner was only 6 years old, with a score of 223.....incredible how computers and games are second nature to these kids!! Making me feel old!!
Best Start Hub joined our booth this year, for some fun times with crafts and story time. We even put up a tent for "Story Time Under the Dome." It was a great collaboration and we hope to have more in the future.
'story time under the dome'We didn't win 'best booth' this year, but I think we took the cake for 'most fun' booth. We even had the Wii Light Sabers out for a demonstration!! Non-stop action, that's what Sioux Hudson is all about!!
Sadly, we had to pack things up Friday evening, but all in all, a great success: prizes were won (six super door prizes), things were learned (grandma learned how to Wii bowl!!), and most important of all, the great sense of community that Sioux Lookout is known for was strengthened with the forging of new friendships and the rekindling of our Northern spirit.Bravo to all participants!
